aggressive socialization with other dogs?

Methods to calm dogs aggression towards other dogs?

dog aggression, need info now!!!?

ok i have a min pin who used to get along with everyone but now does not like visitors, he was never abused that i know of(i knew the previous owners) and we are watching a big golden-lab mix who loves all dogs and people, but we have a kitten that he wants to eat, this wouldn't be such a bad problem if he where smaller, my older cat can handle him, but today he pulled me over and lounged at my kitten, thankfully i managed to stay on while he was dragging me, and eventually he stopped before getting to my baby. i have tried everything i know about aggressive behaviour of dogs, such as forcing them to lay down and pressing on the neck, staring them in the eyes, with the big dog i forced him down and held the cat on his neck, and tapping them on the nose. i don't know what else to try. do you have any suggestions? i don't want to keep the big dog here if my kitten is in danger, but the owner is gone and has no where else to keep him, and i have cuts and bruises all over, and also do you know how to treat an injured back?(also from being dragged by the big dog) please help!!!

Please help. How to stop dog aggression.?

Alright, so my dog is an Australian Shepherd. He's four years old and last summer when he was three he bit someone for the first time ever. The person he bit was my mom's friends mom. She's like 70 maybe.? I'm not exactly sure. But it didn't break the skin I don't think it just made a mark. We didn't understand why, he got in trouble by us but nothing really happened about it. Then this summer on the fourth of July (almost a year later) he bit someone else, another old lady. Again the skin was not broken but it made a huuuuge mark. She said she bruised really easily so it wasn't that big of a deal but it sure looked like one. He got in trouble again. And we were very confused again because this had never happened ever except these two times. Then about a month later he bit someone else. I'm not sure if that was an old lady but as far as I know she was more around 40. He was staying at my aunts while we were on vacation and he happened to accidentally get out when she had a friend over. It was the same thing yet again. It's kind of a big deal because he could seriously hurt someone. But besides those three times he's completely fine with about everyone he meets. He occasionally jumps but only when he gets super excited. He's mostly trained out of that. He is the most amazing dog to me and it would be the worst thing ever if he had to get put down. Honestly, with everything else that's going on right now, I couldn't take it. Please help. What do I do?! And I can't just wait around for him to do it again and punish him more. I need something different than that. The next person could just say they want him put down and that's the end. Please, please, please help.

Dogs aggression toward children?

I have 3 wonderful dogs who are all quite well behaved. We haven't had any behavioral issues with them and they're all well trained dogs. At least I thought they were. I've noticed that whenever my son tries moving any of the dogs or puts his feet near them or even tries to pick any of them up, they'll all growl at him. He's never been bit thankfully but they do give him a warning nip. Our oldest dog (4 years) is the most gentle thing ever. She's a yorkie and around all other kids she is the most patient gentle dog not even giving a second look when a child pets to hard to tugs on her fur. The second dog is 11 months and loves playing with other children. The neighbor kids often run and play with her and she has a great time. Our youngest is 4 months and she seems to be picking up the older two's habits and I'm wondering what I can do to stop this. Especially for the puppy. Is it enough to keep scolding the dogs? There are never issues with other kids so I find this a little strange. Any mature advice is accepted.

Dog on Dog aggression help?

My dog is 21/2 years old and i have done all that i could to socialize her with dogs and people with puppy socialization classes and what not as well as training classes ever since i got her at the age of 4 months. She was doing just dandy util she reached the age of 2 she began to greet dogs differently than she used to which was calm submissive and friendly. Now whenever she meets a dog she gets all stiff legged and her hackles raise and she gets this look on her face like she wants to attack. I've also noticed that shes taken a liking to hovering over dogs that are smaller than (most are shes rather large) but she lashes out when a dog larger than herself hovers over her. How should i fix this problem. note: she is spayed
